Magellan Transport Logistics conducted a clothing drive in support of the Jacksonville – PACE Center for Girls. Thirteen boxes of adult, children and infant items were delivered on September 8, 2015 to PACE Coordinator Tamara Garrett. Magellan employees in attendance for PACE presentation included, Dana Higginbotham CFO, Courtney Brown- Accounting Manager, Aaron Thrift – Director of LTL Services, and owners Tom and Patty Piatak.

PACE Center for Girls Jacksonville is located in Duval County and was founded in 1985. When girls come to PACE, staff focus is to help them heal and grow. Many of these young ladies have lived through a variety of issues such as abuse, trauma, and neglect. PACE cannot do it alone. It is through their partnerships with individuals, groups, organizations, and businesses that are able to successfully change the community…one girl at a time.

Since opening, PACE Jacksonville has served over 3,000 girls. The center is located at 2933 University Blvd N, across from Jacksonville University. PACE accomplishes its goals through three distinct components: Academic, Social Services and Transition Services. PACE Jacksonville is one of 19 centers across Florida.
