Hurricane Laura was a deadly and damaging Category 4 weather event. In anticipation of landfall, FEMA awarded support mission to Magellan Transport Logistics at 1300 hours, Wednesday, August 26. Magellan had “boots on the ground” with trucks on site by 0930 Thursday, August 27, the day storm ravage the Louisiana coast. Setting up the Dallas based Emergency Management Operations Center were Director of Logistics, Jason Harness, with Magellan Emergency “Wranglers” Justin Starr and Sydney Sterling. Staff and equipment will remain in area to assist in delivery of generators, C2 units, medical and all other requested essential supplies’.
