Veterans Service Project- Magellan Donates At The Holidays

Jacksonville, FL (December 14, 2015) – Employees of Magellan Transport Logistics, a Jacksonville based Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business, assembled 80 thermal socks containing basic hygiene items for needy homeless veterans. Magellan Transport Logistics is a Patriot Award winning company for their support of veterans and members of the National Guard. President Tom Piatak, a former member of the US Army at veteran of Desert Storm stated, “We actively hire and support both veterans and current member of the National Guard. My daughter Jenna brought this idea forward as a way to make a difference over the holidays. Everyone pitched in to make the project a success.” The assembled gifts were delivered to Charmin Alston, a senior social worker who oversees Healthcare for Homeless Veterans (HCHV), a division of the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs.designed for diverse companies to meet face-to-face with BMW Tier 1 suppliers.
